Locals love and celebrate that Michigan is home to thousands of animals. Some live in our state in abundance, while others are listed among Michigan’s threatened species or ‘species of special concern.' Animals like the peregrine falcon and the Kirtlands’ Warbler are a few examples of endangered animals living in Michigan, some even have a home at the John Ball Zoo. Since this month is the anniversary of the Michigan Endangered Species Act, it’s a great time to learn more about this subject. In the video above Rachael takes viewers behind the scenes at the zoo to learn more about these animals that need protection. The John Ball Zoo is such a great resource, and you can always support them.
