The E.L. Johnson Nature Center hopes to foster a sense of stewardship in young people, so all Michiganders – and our wildlife – can continue to enjoy our state's natural resources for generations to come. They do this through their interactive educational exhibits and seasonal displays that provide a wealth of information for visitors young and old. Outside, the park consists of forty-acres, which offers its visitors a variety of recreational and educational opportunities. The park's trails also remain open throughout the winter months for snowshoers and cross-country skiers to enjoy. Another activity visitors can take part in is maple syrup tapping. The park hosts an annual maple syrup event every March. To learn more, please visit www.bloomfield.org/schools/el-johnson-nature-center.
