Even though the weather is turning colder, you should still consider traveling outdoors with your family - maybe even trying something new?

Michigan is fortunate to have many waterways, including over 11,000 inland lakes, and the largest sources of cold freshwater in North America - the Great Lakes. In order to conserve and manage these waterways, Trout Unlimited has made it their mission to to conserve, protect and restore Michigan’s coldwater fisheries and their watershed. The organization uses trout as great indicator species to gauge how healthy Michigan's waterways are.

Michigan's Trout Unlimited does everything from on-the-ground stream improvements to fishing and steward education to research to partnering with other conservation groups and governmental agencies to better Michigan’s fisheries and watersheds.
