Trout are an important species because they are a prime indicator of the health of a stream. Trout Unlimited is a national organization with more than 150,000 members organized into about 400 chapters across the country. The Schrems West Michigan Chapter of Trout Unlimited is committed to the conservation, protection, and restoration of West Michigan's coldwater fisheries, including educating the public about cold water fisheries and trout fishing.
