In Michigan's lower peninsula, one may find deer, turkey, fox, and coyote, but travel a couple of hours north, and you may find an elk. Thanks to careful wildlife management, Michigan's elk population is celebrating it's 100th anniversary in 2018. The comeback of the elk is just one shining example of the types of wildlife management that will ensure the state's forests, waters, and wildlife are protected.
